These Terms and Conditions govern purchases made through the 42HourVintage online store (www.42hourvintage.com), operated by Duc Nguyen, an individual seller based in Paris, France. By placing an order, you accept these terms in full.

All watches sold through 42HourVintage are pre-owned vintage timepieces sourced from private collections, flea markets, and trusted dealers across France and Switzerland. Each piece is individually described and photographed before listing.
As with all vintage items, minor signs of age and wear — including patina, light scratches, or faded lume — are to be expected and are considered part of the watch's character. Any known defects beyond normal wear are explicitly disclosed in the product listing.
We do not sell replica, counterfeit, or modified watches. Each piece is sold as described, with no implied guarantee of timekeeping accuracy beyond what is stated in the listing.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in Euros (€), inclusive of applicable taxes. Prices are subject to change without prior notice, but will not change after an order has been confirmed.
We accept the following payment methods, as displayed at checkout:
- Credit / debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Other methods available via Shopify Payments
Payment is processed securely through Shopify. 42HourVintage does not store or handle your payment card information directly.
4. Order Confirmation
After placing an order, you will receive an email confirmation. This confirmation does not constitute final acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to cancel an order if a watch has already been sold or if a pricing error is discovered — in such cases, you will be fully refunded.
5. Shipping and Delivery
We ship worldwide via insured carriers (DHL Express, Chronopost, or equivalent). Estimated delivery times:
- France and EU: 1–3 business days
- International: 3–7 business days
Shipping is free within France and the EU. Costs for other destinations are calculated at checkout.
All shipments are fully insured to the declared value of the watch. Risk of loss or damage transfers to the carrier upon handover. In the event of loss or damage in transit, we will assist you in filing a claim with the carrier.
Import duties, customs fees, and local taxes for international orders are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
6. Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Article L.221-18 of the French Code de la consommation, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason.
To exercise this right, notify us at [email protected] before the withdrawal period expires. You must return the watch within 14 days of that notification, in the same condition as received, with all accessories and documentation included at purchase. Return shipping costs are your responsibility.
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund within 14 days, using the same payment method as the original purchase.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to watches that have been worn, serviced, or modified after delivery.
7. Legal Guarantees (EU Buyers)
Garantie légale de conformité (Articles L.217-4 to L.217-16, Code de la consommation): If a product does not conform to its description, you may request repair, replacement, or a refund within 2 years of purchase.
Garantie contre les vices cachés (Articles 1641 to 1648, Code civil): If a hidden defect renders the watch unfit for its intended use or significantly reduces its value — a defect that was not and could not reasonably have been disclosed at the time of sale — you may request a price reduction or full refund.
Note: For vintage watches, visible wear consistent with age and as described in the listing is not considered a defect under these guarantees.
8. Returns
Beyond the statutory withdrawal right, we handle return requests case by case. If you receive a watch that significantly differs from its listing description, contact us within 7 days of delivery at [email protected] and we will work toward a fair resolution.
9. Limitation of Liability
42HourVintage shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or from the purchase of products, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules applicable in your country of residence.
11. Dispute Resolution
We encourage you to contact us first at [email protected]. If no agreement is reached, you may refer the matter to a certified consumer mediator. You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
